JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Human Resources is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day functions of ‘People Operations’ (onboarding, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll-related activities), as well as ensuring organizational policies and procedures are understood and followed. As an integral piece of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist is the gatekeeper to ensure all employee data is accurate as well as being the "face" of the Company to candidates, new hires, and employees. The Senior Human Resources will be the champion of corporate values, creating an enhanced personal onboarding experience for Premier team members, with the focus of increasing new team member engagement and early retention. The ultimate goal is to organize our people initiatives, provide great internal customer support, and drive Human Resources functional excellence and process improvement.

 

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Owns the entire onboarding cycle from start to finish, ensuring a smooth process for all new hires
  • Manages any and all Employee Relations throughout the company, supporting employees and managers to overcome any issues
  • Demonstrates confidence in navigating legal matters, and protects the company by working with the necessary parties/individuals as needed to ensure compliance for the company

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  • Work with internal teams to forecast needs for upcoming hires, and handle all touchpoints such as drafting offer letters, and employment agreements, and assigning necessary new hire paperwork. Manage all other needs for onboarding such as initiating and monitoring background checks, and ensuring a flawless onboarding experience for new hires
  • Accurately communicate the new team member’s onboarding plan (technology needs, HR-related forms completion. benefits enrollment, and/or any other necessary details for the first day/week in the new role)
  • Serve as the point of contact and resource for new hires and hiring managers during the training and onboarding period into the first 30-days of employment, providing insight and guidance on a variety of situations that may arise
  • Carry out responsibilities in various other aspects of Human Resources, including onboarding/offboarding, benefits, compliance, talent management, and employee relations
  • Organize and maintain the confidentiality of personnel records, ensuring sensitivity of personal information is stored effectively for applicants, employees, former employees, and any other matters regarding medical, employee relations, etc.
  • Assist managers with the Performance Development of their teams, helping coach through any needs for ongoing training/growth for individuals on their teams
  • Manage all aspects of employee relations, working with managers and employees to support and seek the best solutions in order to rectify any situations
  • Handle all aspects of termination/offboarding through exit surveys, final paycheck, as necessary, terminating in HRIS, sending all necessary internal and external emails, filing away necessary documentation, notifying IT, moving proper “active” files to “terminated” files, etc.
  • Own and drive special project initiatives as a way to improve the efficiency of business functions, policies, procedures, and more

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education/Certification:

 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications or a relevant field, with a preferred Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, or Business Administration

 

 

Work Experience:

 

  • 2-4 years of Human Resources experience
  • Sound knowledge/understanding of various HR functions including but not limited to: Employee Relations, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance & Talent Management, Training & Development, Policy Management, Legal/Compliance, etc.
  • Experience working in multi-cultural environments
  • Experience with HRIS and MS Office systems, specifically the ability to navigate databases such as MS Excel, and/or project management systems

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements
  • Must be able to time manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities; exhibit calm in the face of pressure and stress
