Purpose of Role:

 

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for one of the global offices you will play a key role in the progression of the team and the ‘office’ as a whole and for the benefit of the agency.

This includes working in all operational and support areas from managing finances and budgets, to finding great talent and ensuring it is looked after as per our culture and values.

Furthermore, we expect you to want to push Tanasuk and drive us forward in our vision to be the best global digital agency.

The COO role exists to ensure that our global offices are well run from a people, process and tools perspective.

They must be the voice of authority in regard to compliance with local laws and culture and at all times, continue to ensure that our global offices are aligned with the mission, vision and values of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

To find, nurture and support remarkable Talent from local and global talent pools.

This includes ensuring that they are inducted into the agency properly, fully indoctrinated into our Culture, Mission, Vision and Values and are absolutely the right fit (Get it, Want it and Capable to do it) for Tanasuk and its Global team of digital experts.

To ensure that the team in your Global Office are well cared for and have everything that we have promised including a great working environment, access to the wider agency team, benefits, regular appraisals and access to Talent.

To ensure that our global team has an optimal blend of Tanasuk culture and local culture. We want all our offices to feel like they are part of a global agency, which has performance at its heart and lives and dies by its values.

As the COO, we expect you to make these values real within the local culture and language.

To manage global offices in every respect from cleaning through to expansion, as and when the time comes. You are responsible for ensuring it is in good working order, clean and tidy and ‘on-brand’--a well-oiled machine.

As the COO you will have full Budgetary Accountability for the P&L assigned to you. You will plan your budget and manage it carefully against the assigned P&L from the agency and under the direction of CFO/CEO.

You will keep accurate records and ensure complete financial compliance with local legislation and tax law and with the Chief Financial Officer Company accountants.

You are also responsible for the upholding and active promotion of Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety. It is your responsibility to ensure we promote opportunities in a fair way and comply with any Health and Safety standards, and laws, in the countries Tanasuk operates in.

You will be a member of the Board of Directors for the agency and will be expected to promote your strategic and tactical ideas for the continued growth of the business.

We will also expect you to travel to the head office, attend global meetings and work with our other COO’s to constantly improve the performance of the global organization.

To take responsibility for the quality and presentation of your own work and environment.

To be always looking for new avenues and opportunities for Tanasuk and to accurately record all worked hours against the appropriate client and to report any work requests to the appropriate lead.

To be open and interested in new technologies and methods of delivering the company’s products and services, and to continually develop personal technical skills and to challenge and stretch boundaries.

Strong negotiation skills and be able to influence and motivate others, ensuring outstanding performance from your teams.

An eye for detail and staying up to date with local employment laws and issues.

A real team player, as COO you will have a wide range of skills and people under your care. Consequently, you will need to forge great relationships with our other department heads, leadership team and other global COOs.

 

Specific Job Skills / Knowledge:

 

Budget Control. An understanding of budgets and how to manage them including controlling spend, efficient and accurate record keeping.

Talent Management and Acquisition.

The ability to find and nurture talent in line with the company's Mission, Vision and Values. Bookkeeping and General Record keeping. The ability to keep accurate financial records in line with Accounting Best Practice. Also, the ability to record and maintain accurate employee records. Efficient and effective process-development.

Always assessing and improving all internal processes, constantly optimizing for better results, within shorter timespans, at lower costs.

Streamlining inter-departmental processes to connect employee and project lifecycles in a seamless and well-integrated fashion.

Allowing for traceability and accountability across the board. Employment Law and Employee Rights.

Up to date working knowledge of local employment laws and employee rights. This extends to also include a good knowledge of the local skills marketplace.
