Job Summary
The successful candidate will act as a central coordination point between clinical users, engineering teams, suppliers, and hospital administration, ensuring smooth execution of biomedical engineering projects and daily operational activities.
This role requires professionalism, flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work comfortably in a dynamic hospital environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
Technical & Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate and follow up on biomedical and clinical engineering projects.
- Collect technical and clinical requirements from physicians, nurses, and end-users.
- Support equipment installations, inspections, acceptance testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Support onsite supervision when required.
Project Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare structured reports (weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc).
- Track project timelines, milestones, tenders, and procurement progress.
- Prepare presentations for management committees.
- Maintain project databases, dashboards, and ERP records.
Administrative & Communication Support
- Draft, manage, and follow up on official correspondence and technical documentation.
- Organize meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-up action plans.
- Maintain structured digital and physical filing systems.
- Handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism.
Operational Support
- Coordinate maintenance visits, user training sessions, demos, and evaluations.
- Follow up on preventive maintenance, downtime reports, and service activities.
- Support preparation of specifications, compliance matrices, and quotation comparisons.
Stakeholder Interaction
- Communicate directly with physicians, nurses, department heads, and administrative teams.
- Represent the Biomedical Engineering Department in routine follow-ups when required.
- Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, and clinical departments.
Education
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering (preferred), Pharmacy, Industrial / Systems Engineering, Health Informatics, Medical Technology.
Experience
- Minimum 1-4 years’ experience in a related clinical, technical, or administrative role.
- Previous experience in hospitals or medical devices / supplier companies is required.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience or direct practical exposure within the medical devices industry or healthcare technical sector is essential
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Medical Acumen
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with project management tools, ERP systems, or dashboards is an
- advantage.
- Basic understanding of medical equipment and hospital workflows.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Availability for after-hours support when required.
- Occasional travel for site visits or workshops.
