Job Title: Accountant

Department: Accounting

Organization: Jordan Heritage

Industry: F&B, Hospitality, Training and Consulting

Location: Amman, Jordan

Experience: +5 Years

Education: At least Bachelor's degree

 

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· Solid accounting knowledge in the bookkeeping of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and general ledger

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance

· Minimum 5 years experience in accounting/finance

· Experience with financial reporting requirements

· Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas (Non-Profit & Profit companies)

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to:

· Make daily entries

· Make entries on material accounts for the use of financial tracking of material costs

· Distribute and track entries for multiple legal entities

· Distribute and track entries for multiple cost centres

· Conduct recipe costing for a restaurant business

· Conduct project costing and reporting

· Manage suppliers’ accounts, liabilities, payments, statements and supplier relationships

· Manage cash flow and produce cash flow forecasts

· Produce budgets and conduct budget controls overall payments

· File and transfer funds to SSC

· File and coordinate tax accounts with the tax auditor

· Produce monthly income statements

· Produce projects’ profit and loss statements

· Reconcile bank statements weekly

· Reconcile visa statements weekly

· Deposit cash at bank

· Collect checks and issue receipts

· Produce invoices

· Schedule, document and file expenses

· Conduct feasibility analysis

· Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports on a regular basis, weekly, monthly, quarterly and end of year closure reports.

· Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

· Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

1. Familiarity with Arabic accounting software

10. Work with different team leaders, team members, suppliers, customers, governmental institutions

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

· Good accounting and Book-Keeping knowledge

· Able to handle work pressure, especially during month-end activities and audits

· Interpersonal and communication skills to carry out the overall function efficiently

· Likely to have a background in F&B and hospitality sectors
